Dissolved Company

A dissolved company is one that has been removed from the register of companies in Hong Kong, typically following deregistration or completion of a winding-up.

A Hong Kong company may become dissolved through voluntary deregistration (for defunct solvent private companies), compulsory striking off by the Registrar, or after the conclusion of a winding-up. Once dissolved, the company ceases to exist as a legal entity. The Registrar keeps a record of dissolved companies in the Companies Register; these records remain publicly searchable indefinitely.
